Covid, Brexit, the weather and finally the filming of Peaky Blinders in Portsoy for the past week have all been challenges we have had to overcome since returning after the New Year, which in turn have delayed the progress on the new shop/kitchen. That said, we have been able to apply the cladding to the outside and make the necessary building alterations both inside and out. The carpenters from Leslie Mackie are to be congratulated on doing an excellent job as shown in the photograph below. The intention was always to maintain the company branding, which once the cladding has had the Sutherlands of Portsoy logo put on will have achieved that goal.
Phase 2 of this upgrade will see the inside transformed into an open plan shop and kitchen in which we will be able to demonstrate to visitors new products as they are developed. We hope to be able to give demonstrations by appointment as well as invitations to other food and drink [producers to collaborate of new products.
We feel that whilst Covid has been extremely challenging for us all, we are now entering an exciting phase
